"Driving through town on our way back home to north Georgia, needed gas and decided to grab a bite. Looked to see what restaurants this small town had. Saw Peggy’s and clicked on the photos. I knew this was going to be delicious… and it did not disappoint. Best fried chicken I’ve had in a long time. Great service - everyone was so friendly. Why would anyone eat anywhere else in town when they could eat here? The prices were very reasonable. We ordered small plates but there was so much food on them, it didn’t seem possible that they were small plates. A meat, three sides, bread and a drink for $11 a plate. IMPRESSIVE!!! Sorry I didn’t take pictures. We gobbled our food up before thinking about it. Yep. It was that good. "

"You cannot beat the food at Peggy's. I've eaten at country cooking restaurants all my life, all across the south...this is the best of the best. The fried chicken is perfection. Black eyed peas are my favorite vegetable, but they are all good. Just had their turkey and dressing with gravy for the first time today, and it was delicious, of course. Your only dilemma will be having to choose between delicious and even more delicious."
